3rd Monaco Employment Forum: Luxury, Yachting and Seasonal Jobs in Focus
The third edition of the Monaco Employment Forum was held this year with a clear ambition: to strengthen the connection between local companies and candidates, while addressing the very specific challenges of Monaco's labour market. Luxury, yachting, opportunities in services, as well as housing solutions for seasonal workers: the forum is more than ever a key event for boosting employment in the Principality.
A must-attend forum
Organised in partnership with the Prince's Government, the Town Hall and local economic players, the Monaco Employment Forum brings together hundreds of visitors every year (jobseekers, young graduates, professionals changing careers and cross-border workers) who come to meet the companies that are hiring.
On the programme of this 3rd edition:
- Recruitment stands
- Practical workshops (CV, job interviews, legal advice)
- Talks on trends in the Monaco labour market
- Areas dedicated to growth sectors
The forum also aims to make employment more accessible for residents and for workers from neighbouring towns.
Luxury: still a pillar of Monaco's job market
Monaco remains an international hub for luxury, and the forum confirmed it. Many prestigious houses (fashion, jewellery, luxury hospitality, VIP services) presented their job offers.
The most sought-after roles in this sector:
- Specialised sales advisors
- Guest relations / concierge
- Qualified security officers
- Premium hosts and hostesses
- Multilingual profiles with international customer experience
The trend is confirmed: candidates who speak several languages (French, English, Italian) have a clear advantage.
Yachting: a fast-growing sector
Yachting, another major driver of Monaco's economy, was particularly highlighted.
Between the development of port services, maintenance projects and preparation for the high season, recruitment is speeding up.
Frequently offered positions:
- Steward / Stewardess
- Certified deckhand
- Private chef or onboard cook
- Technicians (marine mechanics, electrical, hydraulics)
- Port agents or crew assistance staff
Companies in the sector point out that STCW training, professional English and great flexibility remain essential prerequisites.
Seasonal employment: a key challenge… and housing solutions
With several hundred temporary jobs created every year in hospitality, catering, entertainment and tourist services, one of the main challenges remains housing for seasonal workers in an area where rents are among the highest in Europe.
This 3rd edition of the forum focused on:
- Temporary accommodation solutions offered in partnership with student residences, neighbouring towns and partner establishments
- Matching with supervised flatshares
- Enhanced transport options for workers living on the outskirts
- An advice area on rights, financial aid, seasonal contracts and administrative procedures
For many visitors, this support represents a major step forward.
